Product Manager (category to be determined dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our busy Purchasing Department.

Main purpose of job:

To manage the allocated product categories in terms of supplier negotiations, product & supplier selection, publication production, pricing and promotions and implementation of overall purchasing and marketing strategy

 

Key Objectives:

  • Generate budgeted income from allocated suppliers /product categories via rebates and marketing contributions
  • Merchandise agreed marketing materials: annual catalogue pages, periodic and product category mailers, e-marketing
  • Deliver agreed targeted promotional plans outside catalogue: mailers, e-flyers, web, intranet, social media
  • Deliver competitive pricing and terms for members including on initiative private label
  • Maximise dealer support for Integra publications, e-marketing programs and supplier contracts

 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Well-organised and able to work individually or within a team
  • Self-manage to deliver financial targets to deadline
  • Good negotiator / communicator
  • Numerate / commercial with intermediate excel
  • Literate with good written and spoken English – copywriting, contracts, presentations – so competent with Word & Power Point
  • Commercial and professional approach
  • Attention to detail – proofing, contracts, financial analysis and proposals
  • Purchasing or Marketing background suitable
  • Office products / distributive trades experience preferable but not essential
  • Likely to be graduate

Job Type:  Full Time (Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week)
