Integra Members Celebrate Initiative in Winter WonderlandNicki Griffiths
Integra Business Solutions Ltd would like to congratulate members lucky enough to win a place on the ‘Winter Wonderland’ trip to Finland in a promotion launched back in July 2017 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Initiative own brand. The promotion, run in conjunction with Antalis and paper mill, Store Enso, the manufacturer of Initiative Office and Initiative Multipurpose papers, gave members the chance to win one of six places on a once in a lifetime Winter Safari close to the Arctic Circle.
Winning members enjoyed a two-night stay at four-star Hotel, Merihovi, together with a tour of Stora Enso’s sheeting plant and paper mill, Veitsiluoto, and a trip to the Snow Castle of Kemi, the biggest snow fort in the world. Members also took part in a fantastic snowmobile safari to the small fishing village of Simo, driving their own snowmobiles through the vast ice fields and islands of the Bothnian Bay.
On the final day, members were treated to a traditional smoke sauna and a fine dining experience in the atmospheric halls of the Pappilan Pehtoori restaurant, a vicarage more than 100 years old and which boasts magnificent sea views.
Tim Percival, Divisional Director at Antalis UK, comments: “Antalis was delighted to co-sponsor this trip to help celebrate Initiative and such an important milestone in Integra’s history!
The Stora Enso site in Northern Finland is a truly impressive Paper Manufacturing site to visit. It’s really impactful when you see first-hand, the scale of the operation, the processes involved and industrialisation on the biggest scale that come together to make Office Paper – a much undervalued core stationery item.
The hidden bonus is that the facility is surrounded by some truly breathtaking natural scenery that was explored by the group in various outdoor activities, a testament to the Paper industries commitment to the environment and sustainability.
A big thank you also to Stuart Colley, Antalis Channel Manager, and Dean Glew, Stora Enso UK’s Sales Director, for hosting this trip.”
Kevin Foot, Managing Director of Cowans Group, thanked Integra, Antalis and Stora Enso on behalf of the winning members, adding “I was delighted to be awarded a place on the Winter Wonderland trip which provided a perfect few days to witness firsthand the much taken for granted and incredibly complex process that goes into making copier paper, as well as some first-class entertainment that our hosts kindly provided. I cannot thank those involved enough for such an enlightening and enjoyable trip.”
